Mary graduated with a B.S.B.A. Accounting from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She worked as an accountant for several years before realizing it was not her passion. Mary went on to work in several different fields wearing many different hats – including owning her own business.  She lived in multiple locations around the U.S. before deciding to come back home to be near her parents in the Ithaca area.

Mary returned to college, starting at Tompkins Cortland Community College, then to SUNY Cortland to earn her B.S. Secondary Education – Mathematics, and finally, Walden University to achieve her  M.Ed.

Mary started in teaching with high school mathematics before transitioning to Tompkins Cortland Community College in 2007 as an adjunct and a full-time instructor in 2008. Mary has taught Math 090, 095, 098, 100, 109, 113, 120, and 132.  Mary is the current Chair Liberal Arts and Science – Math/Science.
