April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Tompkins Cortland Community College is hosting a series of programs and events in recognition of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
- YARDS FOR YEARDLEY
April 6 | noon - 4 p.m. | Starting at the President’s Office
In support of the One Love Foundation and in memory of Yeardley Love,
we will have educational tables all around the second floor, and ask you to
walk as many yards (laps) as you can in support of survivors.
- WEAR TEAL DAY
April 19, group photo on the main stairwell at 12:30 p.m.
Teal is the color for S.A.A.M. and wearing it on this date shows
support for survivors.

April 4, 13, and 21 at lunch information on supporting survivors
- DENIM DAY
We wear denim as a reminder that there is no justification for assault - including what the individual is wearing!

Learn about Take Back the Night and make posters for the march
- TAKE BACK THE NIGHT MARCH
April 29 | 7 p.m. | Bernie Milton Pavilion in Ithaca
Join local residents to take back the night and eliminate sexual violence. We will have a college van to transport residents. It will depart campus at 6 p.m. Sign up in Campus Groups to reserve your spot!
