Panther Hall of Fame Seeks Nominations

The Tompkins Cortland Community College athletic department is seeking nominations for Spring 2019 induction into the Panther Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes former athletes, coaches, and contributors for their performance and support of Panthers athletics as well as their accomplishments after leaving Tompkins Cortland.

The Panther Hall of Fame was established in 1999 as a way to pay tribute to people with special connections to the College. All nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee with a maximum of three people chosen for induction during each three-year nomination cycle. A plaque with the inductee's picture and description of his or her achievement will be displayed at the College. There are currently 14 members of the Panther Hall of Fame, with Danielle O’Rourke and Eric Parker being the most recent inductees in 2016.

To be eligible, a former student must be at least five years removed from participating in a sport at the College and completed his or her academics in good standing. Coaches and contributors must have an affiliation with the athletics department for at least five years.

Anyone can submit a nomination for the Panther Hall of Fame by completing a nomination form and a letter of recommendation. Nomination forms are available online at tcpanthers.com or by contacting the athletics department at 607.844.8222, Ext. 4491 or athletics@tompkinscortland.edu.
