2 p.m. | Athletics Facility Gymnasium
Tompkins Cortland Community College officially inaugurates Orinthia T. Montague, Ph.D., as its fourth president on Friday, September 7, 2018. The ceremony will include members of the Tompkins Cortland Community College family, officials from the State University of New York, colleagues from other institutions of higher learning, and members of the greater Tompkins and Cortland communities. Everyone is invited to attend the ceremony and be part of this historic event.
For those marching in the Academic Procession, robing will begin at 1 p.m. in the Robert W. Space Board Room (room 215g) in the Main Building. The line-up of the processional will begin outside the Board Room at 1:30 p.m. College staff will provide assistance with robing and direction for the line-up.
The Inauguration Ceremony will take place in the gymnasium in the Athletics Facility on the College's main campus in Dryden. Parking is available in any of the lots, with Lot 5 providing the closest spaces to the Athletics Facility. When entering the Athletics Facility from the parking lots, the gymnasium will be on your left, immediately after entering the building. If coming to the Athletics Facility from the Main Building, turn left into the atrium after crossing the bridge and the gym will be on the right.
At the conclusion of the inauguration ceremony and after the recessional, a reception will be held in the Forum (room 163 in the Main Building). Everyone is invited to the reception. Staff will be on hand to help direct people to the Forum.
