Mobile Food Pantry on Campus

Student Center Noon to 1 p.m.

The College hosts a Mobile Food Pantry from the Food Bank of the Southern Tier on the Tompkins Cortland campus on Wednesday, September 4 in the Student Center from noon to 1 p.m.

This is free food for anyone who needs it. There are no forms to complete and you do not have to ‘qualify’ to receive the food. You just need to leave your name and be willing to give us your phone number and age of everyone in your household/res hall room. (This is just for required data reporting for the funding that supports the mobile food pantry.)Bring sturdy bags with you and be prepared to refrigerate food – much of it will be dairy or produce items.

Any member of the Tompkins Cortland community (faculty, staff, or student) is eligible.

Some additional information:
-This is perishable food. Sometimes it is close to the expiration date. It is food that might be taken off of shelves in large big box stores when they restock. It is donated to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier in lieu of being thrown away. More information on expiration dates: www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/features/do-food-expiration-dates-matter

-You are able to pick up food for yourself and one other person. You also can have someone else get food for you if you are not able to be there.
