Living on Campus

The Tompkins Cortland campus is located in the Finger Lakes region of New York state, with sweeping vistas and a progressive populace in a comfortable rural setting. Our campus is home seven residence halls housing approximately 800 students. The residence halls feature “suite style” living in a peaceful setting that is a three-minute walk from the College's main building. Each suite is furnished and includes private bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and bathroom.

A campus community

The residence life concept is based on the idea of students living together as a community. Students strive to recognize and appreciate diversity, others' living habits, and issues affecting everyone. The director of residential life and resident assistants will help facilitate this atmosphere and offer programs during the academic year on topics ranging from how to cook to life-style issues to careers.
