The Course Reserve collection, located at the second floor Service Desk, provides access to textbooks and other materials instructors set aside for their students. We can also integrate articles and videos into your Blackboard courses. Faculty and staff can place items on reserve by contacting or Lucy Yang, Coordinator of Information Delivery Services (607.844.8222, Ext. 4361). A printable form is available.

Faculty can reserve media for classroom use or request to have videos posted on Blackboard by filling out a Faculty Media Request Form. In order for us to make videos available on Blackboard you must have a Blackboard course shell already created. You can contact for help setting up a course shell. Items can be posted to Blackboard for up to four weeks. If you are bringing a personally owned copy to place on reserve the library will attempt to purchase its own copy for our collection. Pick up and return media to the Circulation Services Desk located in the Library on the 2nd floor of the Baker Commons.

To see if your item is on reserve, use the search feature on the Textbooks page. You can search by course number, for example BUAD101 (no spaces), or by the instructor name.

Requests for textbooks or other material not in our collection can be made through the library's Get It – Information Delivery Service. Log in with your MyTC3 username and Tompkins Cortland ID number as password.
