Matthew McSherry Reappointed to College Board of Trustees

Matthew McSherry of Cortland has been reappointed to the Tompkins Cortland Community College Board of Trustees. McSherry was first appointed to the Board by the Cortland County Legislature in 2012. His newest appointment runs through June 30, 2026.

McSherry is a partner in the Cortland-area accounting firm Port, Kashdin & McSherry. A graduate of SUNY Albany, he has been a certified public accountant (CPA) since 1986. His community service through the years has involved several organizations, including the Cortland Rotary Club, St. Mary’s School, and the Cortland Salvation Army. He also has served as a member of the board of directors of the Cortland County Business Development Corporation and the Dryden Mutual Insurance Company.

The Tompkins Cortland Community College Board of Trustees consists of 10 members, including a student trustee elected by the student body. The governor appoints four trustees, two each from Tompkins and Cortland Counties; the Cortland County Legislature appoints two; and the Tompkins County Legislature appoints three.
