Patty Tvaroha is a proud alumnus of Tompkins Cortland’s Human Services program. After graduating from Tompkins Cortland in 1998, Patty transferred to SUNY Cortland to become the first student to complete the two plus two articulation agreement and earn a BS in Human Services. Patty returned to the classroom to earn her Master’s Degree in Adult Education in 2017 from Buffalo State University. 
Patty worked in the human services field for nearly 20 years in Tompkins and Cortland counties, working with a variety of populations including: young children, the elderly, victims of violence, and individuals with disabilities. Patty brings this breadth of experience to the classroom, allowing her students to gain first-hand knowledge of the nuances of working in the human services field.
Patty started teaching at Tompkins Cortland as an adjunct in the Human Services and Chemical Dependency Counseling programs in 2009, and became full-time teaching faculty in the Fall of 2017. Committed to the health and wellness of the campus at large, Patty represents the college as a delegate on the Faculty Council of Community College, serving on the SUNY Wide Student Mental Health and Wellness Task Force, and Co-Chairing the Tompkins Cortland Wellness Council.
