Move-in Day for Resident Students

Parents & Families Activities

Saturday, August 24

Parents and families are encouraged to attend these events in our Athletics facility with their student. Students with children are welcome to bring them along, too! 

• Resource Fair (11am-12:25pm) | Opportunity to connect with college and community resources.
• Convocation: (12:30pm-1:00pm) | Welcome from College President, Provost, and Student Trustee
• Parent & Family Session: (2:45pm-3:15pm) | Join college staff for a Q and A style panel.
• Community BBQ: (4:45pm) | New students, faculty and staff, and families are invited to a free barbecue to end the day outside the cafeteria. Email orientation@tompkinscortland.edu with questions or concerns.

While Orientation is primarily for new students, all students are invited to join Orientation Week Activities!

Friday, August 23

• New Student Residential Move-In (noon-5 p.m.)

Saturday, August 24

• New Student Residential Move-In (8 a.m.- noon)
• In-person New Student Orientation - required for all students (11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

Sunday, August 25

• Returning Student Residential Move-In Day (Time 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
• New Student Orientation Day 2 – required for resident students (Time TBD)

Monday, August 26

• First day of Classes

Wednesday, September 4

• Get Connected Fair | Learn more about local resources and Tompkins Cortland clubs, activities, and student support services
