Orientation Schedule

For All New and Transfer Students

Fall 2019 Orientation and Welcome Week activities will begin on Sunday, August 25.

Sunday, August 25 is move-in day for new resident students. Students may move in between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. All new resident students MUST move in on Sunday, August 25. If you have questions about moving in to the residence halls, call or email the Residence Life Office at 607.844.6589 or residentiallife@tompkinscortland.edu.

New Student Orientation will be held on Monday, August 26 and Tuesday, August 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with optional evening activities. Orientation activities will include sessions for commuter students, adult students, and students living on campus. All Orientation activities will take place on the main campus in Dryden.

Fall classes begin on Wednesday, August 28 and Welcome Week activities will continue through the first full week of classes. 

Remember, the Academic Calendar contains important dates for the semester, including deadlines.

Parents, Spouses, and other Family Supporters or Sponsors

In addition to activities for students there are programs for parents, spouses, and other sponsors.

Orientation and Welcome Week Schedule

The tentative Fall 2019 Orientation and Welcome Week schedule will be posted here and emailed to incoming students in early August.

Many College offices have extended open hours during Orientation and Welcome Week so students can take care of everything they need prior to the start of classes.
