Orientation Schedule

Welcome to the Tompkins Cortland Community! 

Friday, August 27: Residential Student Move-In Day (see additional details below) & Parent and Family Information Session from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Student Center.

Saturday, August 28: New Student Orientation, Convocation, and Resource Fair. Check-in is from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Athletics Facility.

Sunday, August 29: Welcome Week Kick-Off Activities and Continuation of Orientation
**While Orientation is primarily for new students, all students are invited to join Orientation Weekend Activities!

Monday, August 30: Farm to Bistro Orientation

Our Farm to Bistro (CULI/HRMG/SFFS/WINE) programs have a SPECIAL Orientation on Monday, August 30. We will meet you at 11 a.m. at the Athletic Facility entrance (parking lot 5) and travel to our Culinary Center, Coltivare, via TC3 Van. We will introduce you to our learning community and help you navigate your way. A future trip to TC3 Farm is also planned for an upcoming class date - Stay tuned! Please contact Sue Stafford or Amanda Bisson with questions.

Before New Student Orientation, you had an initial START meeting with an advisor to review your academic expectations and goals for the upcoming semester! 

Your next step towards college success is completing the Online Orientation Modules before In-Person Orientation! These modules are required for all new and transfer students to learn about our college resources and what Tompkins Cortland provides!

Move-In Day for Resident Students

TC3 Card

The TC3 Card Office is following all campus safety guidelines regarding the reopening of campus.

NO PHOTOS will be taken for ID Cards in the Card Office.  

To obtain your new TC3card:

  • For a new card, submit your picture via email from your TC3 email account.
  • Email tc3card@tompkinscortland.edu
  • Include your name and TC3 ID number.

Photo Requirements:

  • Plain light color background
  • Must be in color
  • Recent (no older than 6 months)
  • JPEG (JPG) file format, less than 1 MB in size If your picture is too big, use the Pic Resize website to adjust your photo
  • Portrait style, eyes to camera, head-centered with extra space on all sides
  • NO other people, hats, profile shots, sunglasses, gestures, or face coverings allowed
  • Only photos emailed from a TC3 account will be accepted.

Photos that do not meet these requirements will not be processed. If your photo was not accepted, you will be notified via email.

Be sure you like your photo. There is a $10 fee for a replacement Student ID/Dining Card.

Receiving your TC3card:
Commuter students may pick up their card in the Card Office beginning the first day of classes.
Resident students’ cards will be available during move-in.  Please submit your photo at least one week before your scheduled move-in to allow card processing.

Remember, the Academic Calendar contains important dates for the semester, including deadlines.
