Jorge Reategui, programmer, has been named the Tompkins Cortland Community College Employee of the Month for August 2026. 

Reategui fills a vital role within the College’s campus technology department. He is known for being the first person to take advantage of any opportunity to improve a process, implement an enhancement, or provide greater clarity to students and staff about their technology questions. Colleagues describe him as incredibly customer-focused, always approachable, and consistent in bringing a positive, cheerful attitude to every interaction. One noted that it is impossible not to smile when around him, saying he makes a meaningful difference across campus.

The Employee of the Month program recognizes individuals who exemplify the values and mission of the College with their outstanding service and attitude. Nominations for the award are accepted from students, staff, or members of the community.

As the Employee of the Month, Reategui receives a gift certificate to a local business, a TC3 Employee of the Month tumbler, and exclusive use of the Employee of the Month parking spot.
