TC3's Jessica Woodard Named PTK All-New York
Tompkins Cortland Community College student Jessica Woodard has been honored by Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for community colleges. Woodard was named a recipient of the Phi Theta Kappa All-New York Academic Award, an honor bestowed in recognition for academic achievements, leadership accomplishments, and engagement in community service. The statewide winners were recognized at a ceremony at the Albany Capital Center earlier this week.
Woodard is a chemical dependency counseling major from Cortland. She has been taking classes part-time online for three years and has already earned a chemical dependency counselor assistant microcredential and a residential aide microcredential. She is on schedule to earn her Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in 2027.
Recognized by the American Association of Community Colleges as the official honor society for two-year colleges, PTK is the largest honor society in higher education, with more than 4.5 million members and nearly 1,200 chapters in 11 countries.
