Emily Nelson Named Employee of the Month
Emily Nelson, cleaning supervisor, is the Tompkins Cortland Community College Employee of the Month for December.
Nelson was recognized for her exceptional leadership and dedication, consistently going the extra step to ensure every task is completed to the highest standard, all while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Her ability to adapt was also acknowledged, along with her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and unwavering commitment to both her team and our facilities.
One nominator noted Nelson leads by example and is always ready to step in when needed, supporting her team with professionalism and care. Her hard work, reliability, and ability to inspire those around her make her an invaluable asset to the College.
The Employee of the Month program recognizes individuals who exemplify the values and mission of the College with their outstanding service and attitude. Nominations for the award are accepted from students, staff, or members of the community.
As the Employee of the Month, Nelson receives a gift certificate to a local business, a TC3 Employee of the Month tumbler, and exclusive use of the Employee of the Month parking spot.
