Janita Moricette, associate professor of business, has been named the Tompkins Cortland Community College Employee of the Month for April 2026. 

Moricette was nominated for being an excellent educator who consistently meets students where they are, balancing honesty with encouragement, and making every student feel valued and supported. Supporters point out that her genuine caring fosters strong, lasting relationships, something that is reflected in students’ appreciation and continued connection beyond the classroom. 

The Employee of the Month program recognizes individuals who exemplify the values and mission of the College with their outstanding service and attitude. Nominations for the award are accepted from students, staff, or members of the community.

As the Employee of the Month, Moricette receives a gift certificate to a local business, a TC3 Employee of the Month tumbler, and exclusive use of the Employee of the Month parking spot.
