Shadayvia Wallace, Director of Educational Opportunity Program and Assistant Diversity Officer, has been named the Tompkins Cortland Community College Employee of the Month for October 2026. 

Wallace works diligently to help students succeed, setting a positive example and creating an environment where they feel supported and encouraged. Students trust her practical guidance and feel comfortable turning to her for advice. Her leadership also extends to her role as Vice Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Action Council (DEAC), where Wallace helps advance efforts to reduce barriers to success and promote equity across the college.

The Employee of the Month program recognizes individuals who exemplify the values and mission of the College with their outstanding service and attitude. Nominations for the award are accepted from students, staff, or members of the community.

As the Employee of the Month, Wallace receives a gift certificate to a local business, a TC3 Employee of the Month tumbler, and exclusive use of the Employee of the Month parking spot.
