What You'll Learn
Contribute original prose and poetry that engage, inspire, and challenge readers.
Sharpen your writing craft and creative expression through workshops in fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. You’ll learn to generate ideas, develop strong narratives, and refine your editing and revision techniques. Along the way, you’ll build communication, storytelling, and critical analysis skills that prepare you for careers in writing, publishing, media, and education
Where You’ll Go
Editors
- Read copy or proof to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
- Verify facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources.
- Read, evaluate and edit manuscripts or other materials submitted for publication, and confer with authors regarding changes in content, style or organization, or publication.
- Develop story or content ideas, considering reader or audience appeal.
