Asiya Zahoor, Kashmiri poet and visiting scholar at Cornell University, will talk about her journey and of other women who give expression to their most ardent beliefs and most censored dreams through poetry. Refreshments provided.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK - INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC CONCERT

Wed., Nov. 17 | Noon to 1 p.m. | Forum 
Come experience the mystic Carnatic Music from Southern India, performed by SPICMACAY (Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth). A gifted ensemble of Carnatic music enthusiasts from Cornell looks forward to sharing their tunes and rhythms with you, and will include singers, percussionists, violinists, and a pianist. Sponsored by the Cornell-Syracuse South Asia Consortium with funding from the U.S. Department of Education Title VI National Resource Center grants.

Learn something new and have fun doing it! A variety of student-led booths will have information, food, games, music, demonstrations, and languages connected to the many countries our students represent. Sweet treats provided.

Min Ma Naing, a photographer from Myanmar, will join us to share her story of making art and supporting her collective of artists during the military coup of 2021. Refreshments provided.
