These sponsored enrichment activities not only enhance the collegiate experience of students of color, but also cultivate cross-cultural awareness and understanding for the entire college community.

ID Summit

Each year the College hosts the ID Summit, a conference that offers dynamic, interactive and engaging seminars and activities, students will explore identity development through the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Student Diversity Leadership Retreat

An annual student diversity leadership retreat where students have an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others, while building leadership skills to support their future success. It is often characterized by students as being an influential and memorable event in their college experience.

Social Justice Peer Educator Program

The Social Justice Peer Educator (SJPE) Program is coordinated by the Office of Diversity Education and Support Services. We develop student’s facilitation skills so they are competent and confident to engage and educate the larger College community about diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice. The program's activities are designed to support the development of an inclusive learning environment throughout the academic year that will engage participants in difficult conversations about cultural competence, power and privilege, and identity-based social inequalities.

On Point Community Discussions Series

ODESS sponsors dialogues, workshops, movie/discussions, and poetry slams that focus on various social issues.

ODESS Academic Leadership Awards Receptions

ODESS sponsors the awards reception to honor underrepresented students’ academic and leadership achievements.

ODESS Services

ODESS provides academic, social, and transition advisement to maximize the learning experience. In addition, ODESS offers student organizations advisement and co-sponsors various cultural events with student organizations.
