Swimming Pool

Recreation sports, the fitness center, and the pool are closed until after Thanksgiving Break. Enjoy your break! 

The pool will re-open on Mon., Nov. 30; Recreation sports and the fitness center will resume activities on Wed., Dec. 2.  

The pool is open for lap swim for students and staff. Online registration is required.


LAP SWIMMING will be open for TC3 students and staff with current TC3 ID. Advance reservations will be required. Please show ID to lifeguard on duty.

RESERVE a 50-minute slot through Campus Groups (open to students and staff only).

HOURS for Lap Swim will be Monday and Wednesday from Noon to 2 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.

BEFORE ENTERING THE POOL all patrons must shower prior to swimming. The pool locker rooms have been modified to promote safe distancing and are sanitized on a regular basis.

FACE COVERING must be worn in locker room and on pool deck before and after swim. Please use personal item hooks located at shallow end of each lane to place your towel and mask while swimming.

ONE PERSON PER LANE (maximum of six swimmers in pool). 

Tompkins Cortland Pool Represented at Empire State Senior Games

Three members of the College's swimming community took part in the 2019 Empire State Senior Games in Cortland. Doris Fuchs, Thomas Payne, and Susanna Van Sant each swam in multiple events and combined to win 10 medals, including 6 golds. Congratulations!

Special Event Usage

The College pool is available for group rentals at a fee of $85 for three hours, which includes one and a half hours of private pool use and one and a half hours in lower brick area of the cafeteria for snacks and gatherings. Our facility is accessible to people with disabilities. Parties are limited to 20 participants.

The brick area, located in the cafeteria in front of the College Student Center and under the stairway, is available for parties at no additional charge (with pool rental). Call Alfred Okaru at 607.844.8222, Ext. 4495 or Mick McDaniel, director of Athletics and Recreation, at Ext. 4492, for more information. Calls will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday when the College is open. Messages left after those hours may not be heard until the next business day.
